Although Outlook.com is free to use, it doesn’t come with infinite storage. To determine the storage usage of your Outlook mailbox, use these steps:

  • Open Outlook.com.
  • Sign in with your credentials (as needed).
  • Click the Settings (gear) button on the top-right corner.
  • Select the “View all Outlook settings” option at the bottom.
  • Click on General.
  • Click on Storage.
  • Confirm the storage usage for your inbox, sent, and deleted items in Outlook.com.
  • (Optional) Use the Empty option to free up space by removing deleted, sent, archive, and inbox items.

Once you complete the steps, the settings page will display the storage usage and how much space you have left in your account.
