Slack includes settings to customize the experience with different color themes if you don’t like the purple sidebar and the other default colors.
You can choose from more than 20 color themes that range from clean and minimal designs to dark and dramatic to bright and cheerful. In addition, there is a choice to create a custom theme for Slack if none of the colors available are of your liking.

How to change colors on Slack
To change the Slack color theme, use these steps:
- Open Slack.
- Click the profile menu from the top-left corner.
- Click the Preference option.

- Under the “Colors” section, select a color scheme for Slack, such as Aubergine, Ochin, Monument, etc.

Once you complete the steps, Slack will immediately switch to the color scheme you selected.
