The popularity of game streaming has been growing at a fast rate in the past few years, and while there are services like Twitch and YouTube Gaming, Microsoft’s Beam not only lets gamers broadcast or watch their favorite streams, but the service also gives them the ability to interact and play along together.

In this guide, you’ll learn the steps to start broadcasting your favorite games using Beam on Xbox One. (You can use this guide to configure and use Beam on Windows 10.)

How to Beam broadcast on Xbox One

  • Press the Guide button on Xbox One.
  • Scroll down and press the Beam streaming button.
  • Select Broadcast your game.
  • Choose whether you want your microphone, camera, and chat turn on during the broadcast.

  • Select Move broadcast overlay if you want to change the location for the camera and overlay.

  • Press Start broadcast to start broadcasting your favorite game.

Once you completed the steps, you will be instantly streaming your favorite game live on Beam.

If you can’t find Beam on Xbox One, it’s probably because you’re not running the Xbox One Creators Update. Select members of the Xbox Insider Preview program can broadcast using the Beam app starting build 15038 and later.
