Unusual but it happened, after blocking Microsoft’s YouTube app, briefly stopping Google Maps for Windows Phone users, and removing Exchange ActiveSync protocol support, Google is relaxing and releasing a long time coming update for the Windows Phone search app to include better voice command, sign-in support for Google accounts, and improve browsing on Google images.
Although, this is a good news for Windows Phone fans using Google services, but the new update simply improves what was already in place. Nevertheless, users will notice an improved voice search which also incorporate a the familiar user-interface in Google Now for Android — although, you won’t be getting Google Now features, just to clear things up.
In the past Google expressed the lack of interest to build apps Windows devices, but the company now seems to notice that it can benefit from users using Google for search on different platforms. But still Windows Phone users continue in dark and only being able to use web-based version of Google services as an alternative for native applications.
