Google Image Search is a powerful free tool for finding and browsing images sourced from across the web all in one place. In addition to the picture search functionality, Google also allows users to save images to its free online Google account in special folders called Collections.

These Google Collections let users access their saved images at a later date on any other device that they’re logged in on. Here’s how to use Google’s Collections to save images.

How to Save Google Image Search Pictures

Google’s Collections can be accessed on all computers, tablets, and smartphones via any web browser such as Google Chrome, Brave, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Safari, or Microsoft Edge.

Collections are completely free to use. All that’s needed is a Google account and an active internet connection.

  • Open your preferred internet browser on your computer, tablet, or smartphone and go to Google.com.
  • If you haven’t yet, sign into your Google account via the blue button in the top-right corner.
  • You can sign into the Google website with the same account you use for accessing Gmail, YouTube, or any other Google service.
  • Click Images in the top-right corner of the screen.
  • Enter your target phrase in the search bar and press Enter.
  • Click the image you want to save.
  • Click bookmark icon to save the image to your collection.
  • If you accidentally added an image to your Collection that you didn’t want to, simply click the same button again to remove it.
  • On a mobile device, tap the bookmark icon under the image. You’ll see the icon turn solid blue when your image has been saved.

How to View Saved Images on Google

After saving images from a Google Image Search to a Collection, you can view it at any time by going to https://www.google.com/collections and logging in with the same Google account you were using when you saved the picture.

How to Remove Saved Images From a Google Collection

Saved images can be removed from your Collection at any time by performing the following steps.

  • Open the Collections web page and log in.
  • Click Select.
  • Click the small box above all of the images you want to remove from your Collection.
  • Click Remove.
  • Confirm the deletion by clicking Remove.
